Dankzij het tweeledige corpus en de instelbare vloersteun is dit instrument tevens voor jonge klarinettisten geschikt. De toonomvang gaat tot bij de lage Eb. Omdat maar een klein aantal tonen anders worden gegrepen dan bij het Duitse systeem, is deze klarinet het perfecte tweede instrument voor gevorderden.
