Some of these pieces became legendary for their handmade excellence and individual sound and are now referred to as vintage mouthpieces. A half-century later, these pieces are still treasured and sought after by saxophone players.
  At AIZEN, we've taken the very finest of these vintage pieces and aimed to recreate their unique sound and superb playability.

  Bari

  Bari Woodwind Manufactures Mouthpieces And Reeds In The USA

  Bari Woodwind manufactures mouthpieces of the highest quality achieving a unique coveted sound. We believe the mouthpiece is very important as it is the direct link between the player and the instrument. A Bari mouthpiece is easy to blow, plays in tune, and is very stable, consistently producing clean tones without difficulty and producing a sound that is clear and resonant.

  Bari began with one man's mission to achieve a unique sound. Wolfe Taninbaum, the designer of the original Bari reeds and mouthpieces was a musician who played under the stage name of Wolfe Tayne for such famous orchestras as Les Brown, Benny Goodman and Jimmy Dorsey. He also sat in with the CBS and NBC orchestras. Early on, Wolfe became so frustrated with the inconsistency of playable reeds that he began to make his own. After years of trying to perfect cane reeds, he turned to synthetics. In 1952 he developed his first synthetic reed. It was also the first one to gain acceptance from some of the world's top musicians. Wolfe's innovations didn't stop there. he also helped create a unique facing for alto and tenor mouthpieces that Otto Link applied to his larger chamber blanks, calling it the "WT." It produced a dark, husky resonance that was coveted by saxophonists and fetched top dollar. Today's WT II and WT III mouthpieces are improved designs of the original. Now you can achieve that same coveted sound.

  Is van dezelfde fabriek als Meyer. Link is vooral bekend om zijn goudkleurige metaal serie. Het is een mooi dik mondstuk met goede klank eigenschappen. Vooral het tenor mondstuk wordt zowel in de jazz als in de pop veel gebruikt. Nadeel is dat de bijgeleverde binder gammel is. De ebonieten Otto Link is erg geschikt voor oude jazz.

  The saxophone mouthpiece is the critical point in which we begin to merge with our instrument and realize our fullest potential. My personal goal is to help facilitate this event.   Peter Ponzol. New in Production!

  I am turning over the day to day business operations of Ponzol products to Dave and Terasa Hoskins of The Morgan Mouthpiece Company. Dave and Teresa are a longtime dealer of my products, and understand very  well all the different models. They have excellent technicians with many years of experience in mouthpiece making. The same craftsmen who have been making my mouthpieces for years will continue making them and once again all models will be available, stainless steel, aluminum, Delrin and hard rubber. The same hand work and testing that I have done will be carried on in the new facility. While I am doing a partial retirement, I will still be involved in quality control and the development of new models. This opportunity allows all Ponzol products to continue and gives me the freedom to do more playing and teaching.

  The career of Peter Ponzol includes over 30 years as an internationally known jazz and studio player. As a player, Peter has performed in most countries around the world, and has received not only a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Performance grant, but was also invited to Germany by the prestigious German Academic Exchange Service. He has given clinics and workshops worldwide and has taught in several universities.

  The design philosophy of Ponzol products is based on Peter’s experience and needs as a player. Peter believes that it is impossible to make and design mouthpieces, reeds and necks unless you are an experienced active contemporary player.

  Wij kunnen het mondstuk voor jou verkopen en vragen daarvoor een vergoeding van 25% 
  De verkoopprijs wordt in overleg bepaald en wij beoordelen of het voldoende kwaliteit heeft om te verkopen. Dit kan door een mail met foto te sturen.

  Wij maken het mondstuk schoon en fotograferen en het plaatsen het op onze site.
  Bij verkoop wordt het afgesproken bedrag uitbetaald.
